The food was expertly planned, prepared and presented. I had a scallop dish and my wife enjoyed her trout. It made for a very pleasant 31st anniversary outing. The only negative is the server forgot we wanted soup.
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Des Moines. They make everything taste good. Even the vegetables. Great for lunch as well as dinner.
Sat at the bar traveling from out of town. Friendly, Great Atmosphere, Jazz Music Playing, Great Service, Food was spot on. Had 3 people all pitch it to make sure timining of food, plates, drinks, desert, desert silverware, were timely. Place filled with happy local people on a Wed night. Again Wow.
town. Started with grilled shrimp "gumbo" soup, so, so yummy!! I could eat this everyday and not get tired of it! Had the seared tuna salad, very good. My husband had pork loin, Very tender, he also had mashed sweet potatoes he's not usually a fan but I think if no one was looking he would have licked his plate. We didn't have dessert but she gave us a plate of four mini chocolate chip cookies, I LOVE sweet & savory this were amazing. I wanted to buy a dozen! If we are ever back to Des Moines I'm eating here again.
We went for an early Birthday dinner. We selected wine and appetizers from the Happy Hour menu. The service, food and setting was good. We enjoy the restaurant.
